OWEN MAKIN - Assistant Art Director

	Age: 20 Position: Assistant Art Director Occupation: Student Location: Victoria, Australia Joined Team: June 2004

	Role: It is Owens’ job to guide the other modellers in both modelling and unwrapping. This means not only helping them refine their skills, but also making sure they do their assignments on time and ensuring the finished products they produce are up to standard. Aside from this Owen has his own assignments to take care of, such as modelling characters/backgrounds, unwrapping models, approving models, and exporting models to our game engine Torque. The exporting process requires Owen to maintain heavy communication with the Programming Department. Skills: During Owens’ university education he has studied units such as basic programming, Animation, game design, and game audio/visual elements. Each of these has helped him in their own unique way during his time with the team. However it was mostly his self-taught 3D knowledge that got him through the early stages of development. Misc: Owen has been working for the team for almost two years, and has said “I couldn't see myself doing anything else in my spare time!” He has also recently been promoted to Assistant Art Director.
